Spark
A downloadable game for Windows
A short game where you traverse the void like darkness that constantly threatens to consume Thomas. Guide him through the mazes of the abyss to an even darker path.
Spark includes 3 procedurally generated levels filled with simple, yet ambiguous obstacles. Traverse the levels while being constantly aware of your fading light that could leave you with nothing but despair and death.
Controls:
- Left/Right Arrow Keys - horizontal input
- Z - vertical input
- X + Arrow Keys (directional input) - Dash (has to be done while in the air; similar to celeste dashing mechanic)
- R - reload procedural level
- Esc - titlescreen; exit
Beware of not so visible hazards, like spikes in the dark.

Hello! This has the makings of a super cool game. I think my son would enjoy it very much too. I have two suggestions:
1) When you die, it would be cool if it restarted you at your previous spawn point rather than randomly generating a new level each time. As it is, it's difficult to learn from mistakes because everything is in shadow and it's different on every attempt.
2) I think it would really pop with some mysterious, almost somber music.....something I very much enjoy producing! I'd love to do some collaborating with you if you are interested.

Hi! Thanks for feedback! I feel the difficulty curve is a bit high considering there are cases where it's difficult to see things like spikes amidst the chaos, however, I sort of want to preserve that Spelunky sort of game play. I will find some other way of bringing down the difficulty so that the game is more fun and enjoyable for everyone! In regards to the music, I didn't have time to implement it, even more so, I couldn't find the right music. I also wanted to add sound effects, but couldn't implement them in time. Your proposition on collaborating for music seems interesting, and perhaps we discuss this on a different platform. You can contact me using my email on the Dino Nuggie Studios game page.
Thanks for playing, and I hope to speak with you soon!
More levels will be developed for this game in the future.
